I have always had dark circles. It's not really a matter of getting enough sleep for me. They have always been there no matter what, and they probably always will be. I had them even when I was a kid. I used to be really self conscious about it, but then I realized I could easily cover it up and look more awake with some concealer.
My circles, however are very very dark, and I find it pretty difficult to conceal them even when I am using expensive concealer. The best thing I have found thus far is using multiple concealers layered on top of each other. Even then you can still see my circles but it's definitely an improvement over going bare. What I like to do is apply a salmon color first to cancel out the purple in the skin. Then I will dab a small layer of a cheap concealer over it. Once I've got that first base down I go in with my pricier NARs concealer to really cover it up as much as I can. Some powder on top will set it all and really finish the job. It is pretty crazy though, that even after all of this, it's still clear that I have some circleage going on. Ah well.
I'm thinking about investing in some makeup brushes to help me conceal and blend and do other things. not just for the circles, but because I don't own many brushes yet, and it might be a lot more fun to explore and experiment if I had some. I found some reviews on the best makeup brushes here.
